Don't forget about your dog's water bowl!

Here are some quick tips to keep your pup healthy - water bowl edition.

It's an easy detail forget somehow but we're coming in hot with this quick little reminder to clean your pup's bowls! Just like our own dishes, it's important to keep your dog's dishes clean too, including their water bowl. Don't worry if you've forgotten about that water bowl in the corner of your kitchen - this happens to the best of us. 

Here's why it is so important to wash it often. Water bowls can collect a slimy build up called biofilm. Biofilm is the perfect breeding ground for harmful bacteria that can lead to health concerns or even seriously problems. Thankfully, it is a super easy thing to avoid. 

Quick Tips to Clean Bowls:

• Refresh your dog's water regularly
• Wash your dog bowls with soapy water using your usual dish soap
• perhaps keep a separate sponge for your canine dishes
• Use hot water to sanitize them
• You can also pop them in the dishwasher (if they are dishwasher friendly)
• For especially tough cleaning situations, soak!
• Be sure to wash away all the soap to avoid accidental ingestion
