Ready to bake? Let's begin!
Ingredients:
- 2 cups oat flour (you can make this by blending rolled oats until fine)
- 1 cup finely grated carrots
- ½ cup natural peanut butter (ensure it does not contain xylitol, which is toxic to dogs)
- 1 egg
- ¼ cup water (as needed)
Directions:
- Preheat Oven: Set your oven to 325°F (163°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the grated carrots, peanut butter, and egg until well blended.
- Add Dry Ingredients: Gradually add the oat flour to the mixture, stirring continuously. If the dough is too dry, add a small amount of water until it reaches a rollable consistency.
- Roll and Cut: On a floured surface, roll out the dough to about ¼ inch thickness. Use an egg-shaped cookie cutter to cut out treats.
- Bake: Place the cutouts on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
- Cool and Serve: Allow the treats to cool completely before offering them to your dog.
These homemade treats are a great way to include your dog in Easter festivities. Remember to feed treats in moderation and ensure all ingredients are safe for your pet.
